Background[]
Lara Croft is the titular character of the Tomb Raider franchise. Lara has existed in multiple universes and continuities, each with differences to the others, some that are subtle and others are more obvious. In most stories, she is a world-renowned archaeologist largely inspired by her father. Her parents died at an early age. A common theme of being stranded and survival are ever present, including surviving a plane crash and also being stranded in the wilderness. In all cases she uses her intellect, wit, and strength to overcome her many obstacles.
In most cases she is depicted wearing a tank top, shorts, combat boots, and a backpack. Her hair is usually swept back in a ponytail or braid.[1]
